Traveling Through the Seasons of the Piano… at the Maria Callas Museum

The Maria Callas Museum is delighted to be one of the venues hosting events for this year’s Athens City Festival, and specifically Piano City Athens— an initiative that brings music closer to the people, transcending the boundaries of the concert stage and spreading the sound of the piano throughout the city.

As part of the festival, the Museum welcomes young pianists aged 8 to 15 for a concert titled “Journeying through the Ages of the Piano… at the Maria Callas Museum!” At the Museum’s grand piano, the talented students of professor Maria Papadatou will take us on a musical journey through different eras and places, performing a beautiful piano repertoire.

This musical path will begin with Viennese Classicism and piano Romanticism, followed by more modern ideas and sounds from “classical” Russian and American composers, reaching all the way to our present day.
