Summer Camp MCM Kids 2026 – Art Scooped Up!
Summer Camp MCM Kids 2026 – Art Scooped Up!
The Maria Callas Museum welcomes summer with a playful and inspiring Summer Camp dedicated to the magical world of performing arts and imagination!
Children aged 5–8 years old are invited to enjoy an unforgettable experience inspired by the fusion of the arts. Musical explorations, visual arts workshops, dance, theatre, yoga sessions, and visits to cultural venues come together to create a joyful environment full of creativity and play. Throughout the programme, children do not simply listen to stories — they create them. They experiment, collaborate, and bring their own unique worlds to life.
This year’s Summer Camp draws inspiration from Maria Callas’ favourite little pleasures and memories: an ice cream flavour, a melody, a theatrical scene, a cinematic image, and the feeling of summer itself. Through these small moments, children discover that even the simplest things can spark entire worlds of imagination.
A two-week summer theatre and arts education program where different art forms blend together — just like the flavours in an ice cream cone!
Summer Camp MCM Kids 2026 Program
The programme takes place over two consecutive weeks, offering a complete experience of creativity, expression, and exploration.
Each week begins symbolically with a small ice cream tasting, acting as a “key” to unlock the imaginative world of that week’s theme. Each flavour becomes the starting point for stories, sounds, images, and theatrical journeys throughout the museum.
Week 1 (22–26 June 2026)
Summer Lab: Scoops of Art | Sounds & Images
Maria Callas’ favourite ice cream flavour becomes the starting point for a summer journey through the world of art and the museum’s exhibits. Through musical discoveries, cinematic imagery, visual arts workshops, play, sounds, and creative outings, children uncover stories hidden behind objects, memories, and scenes from the life of the legendary diva.
One scoop of ice cream is all it takes to open the door to a world of imagination, creativity, and summer magic.
Week 2 (29 June – 3 July 2026)
Summer Lab: Scoops of Art | Stages & Wonders
During the second week of Summer Camp, another favourite flavour takes children on a new journey through opera stages and the theatrical wonders of the museum.
One spoonful, one bite — and the exhibits come to life through theatre games, music, movement, famous operatic works, workshops, and excursions. Children become young creators and discover how every costume, stage set, and melody can become the beginning of their own performance at the Maria Callas Museum.
