Songs from the Third Floor – Alexis Kalofolias

Songs from the Third Floor – Alexis Kalofolias

Following the series’ lyrical opening, Songs from the Third Floor turns a new musical page: this time, the stage on the museum’s third floor welcomes the world of Greek rock and independent creation.

Alexis Kalofolias, also known as Alex K, is one of the most distinctive figures of the Greek rock scene. Through his long-standing career with The Last Drive, Earthbound, and Thee Holy Strangers, his extensive discography, record production work, translations of important musical and literary works, and his involvement in theatre and cinema, he has shaped a multifaceted and constantly evolving creative identity.

At the Maria Callas Museum, he meets radio producer GeorgeFlorakis for an open conversation about music, cinema, theatre, and books, starting from both the well-known and the lesser-known aspects of his artistic journey. The evening concludes with live music, as Alexis Kalofolias performs older and newer songs alongside guitarist Stefanos Flotsios.

The Maria Callas Museum Live Music Sessions

From January to June 2026, the Maria Callas Museum presents the Songs from the Third Floor series: a monthly encounter with contemporary Greek music creation, curated by radio producer Giorgos Florakis (ERT Third Programme, Kosmos 93.6). Set in a unique atmosphere on the museum’s third floor, each session features a different artist and takes the audience into a different musical genre, turning each evening into a ritual-like experience: a dialogue around music, the personal story of each creator, and the immediacy of live performance.
