The Stage Management Masterclass opens the door to the backstage, the unseen world behind the curtain. Through stories and real examples from both demanding and smaller-scale productions, participants will discover how a Stage Manager coordinates teams, handles unexpected challenges, makes crucial decisions, and ensures that the magic of the stage continues seamlessly. They will explore the entire process of bringing a performance to life, from the initial concept and flow design to completion and post-show evaluation and gain insight into how the secrets behind the scenes shape the audience’s experience and the success of every production.

This masterclass is designed for professionals, students, and enthusiasts of opera and theatre who wish to gain a deeper understanding of Stage Management.

INSTRUCTOR
Antigone Neta is a Stage Manager and Show Caller with extensive experience in major cultural events in Greece and abroad, including the SNF Nostos, Rolex Arts Festival, Eleusis 2023 European Capital of Culture, World Nomad Games, Total AFCON, and more. She has worked with the Athens Concert Hall (Megaron), the Athens & Epidaurus Festival, and the Onassis Stegi, and she currently serves at the National Theatre of Greece. She has also taught theatre to children and adults in schools and other educational institutions. Antigone holds a degree in Theatre Studies from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and postgraduate degrees in Stage Direction & Management and in Cultural Management.
