Songs From The Third Floor – Maria Papageorgiou

Songs From The Third Floor – Maria Papageorgiou

The curtain falls on this year’s Songs from the Third Floor series with an evening dedicated to the voice and its countless expressions. The guest of this sixth and final session is Maria Papageorgiou, singer, songwriter, author, and vocal coach.

Together with George Florakis, she will open a conversation about the human voice: its possibilities and limitations, techniques for developing vocal interpretation, and the art of musical adaptation. With her new album set for release the very next day, she will also share thoughts on this new creative chapter, her original songs, her books, and her artistic plans for the summer.

The evening will conclude with a live performance, where the artist accompanying herself on guitar and piano will demonstrate looping techniques and the use of effects in live music performance, while presenting selected songs from her new album.

An ideal finale for this year’s Songs from the Third Floor, the evening also marks the symbolic conclusion of Maria Papageorgiou’s vocal workshop cycle, The Eternal Cycle of Voice, which took place at the Maria Callas Museum from January to May 2026.

The Maria Callas Museum Live Music Sessions

From January to June 2026, the Maria Callas Museum presents Songs from the Third Floor, a monthly series dedicated to contemporary Greek music, curated by radio producer Giorgos Florakis (ERT Third Programme, Kosmos 93.6).

Set against the unique atmosphere of the museum’s third floor, each session welcomes a different artist and explores a distinct musical genre, transforming every evening into an immersive experience: a dialogue around music, the personal journey of each creator, and the immediacy of live performance.
