Songs from the Third Floor – Foivos Delivorias

Songs from the Third Floor – Foivos Delivorias

Reaching the third musical stop of the series, Songs from the Third Floor welcomes one of the most distinctive and narrative-driven singer-songwriters of the contemporary Greek music scene. Foivos Delivorias takes the stage on the third floor of the Maria Callas Museum for an intimate evening of songs that move between the familiar and the unexpected, blending tenderness, subtle irony, and storytelling from his uniquely personal universe.

During the evening, he will join George Florakis for an open conversation on music, influences, and the creative journey. The night will conclude with an unplugged performance featuring both beloved songs that have marked his artistic path and more recent works.

The Maria Callas Museum Live Music Sessions

From January to June 2026, the Maria Callas Museum presents the Songs from the Third Floor series: a monthly encounter with contemporary Greek music creation, curated by radio producer Giorgos Florakis (ERT Third Programme, Kosmos 93.6). Set in a unique atmosphere on the museum’s third floor, each session features a different artist and takes the audience into a different musical genre, turning each evening into a ritual-like experience: a dialogue around music, the personal story of each creator, and the immediacy of live performance.

Biography / Foivos Delivorias

Foivos Delivorias was born in Kallithea, Athens, in 1973. He began studying classical guitar with Orfeas Peridis and, at just sixteen years old, presented his first songs to Manos Hadjidakis, which led to the release of his debut album I Parelasi on the legendary Seirios label.

Since 1989, he has released a series of albums that established him as one of Greece’s most important singer-songwriters, known for his deeply personal style and distinctive lyrical voice. Through a songwriting language entirely his own, Delivorias captures everyday life with immediacy, sensitivity, and poetic clarity, creating songs that remain timeless.

He has presented numerous original live performances in Greece and abroad, collaborating with leading artists across disciplines. In 2017, he created I Taratsa tou Foivou, a contemporary music-theatre spectacle that became a hallmark of Athenian summers through 2025. In 2022, he introduced the musical comedy Ta Noumera on Greek public television, based on an original concept in which he also starred.
