Kinesiology of Operatic Roles
Description
Opera Role Movement Masterclass “Poetic Bodies” with Petros Gallias
Using poetic text, song, and music as points of departure, we will explore our movement at its limits through breathing and balance experiences. We will investigate the movement that is born from our own body, driven by our own energy. The movement that reflects the authenticity and uniqueness of our individual identity. The movement that transmits our personal signal. By recognizing this movement, we uncover our expressive wealth. We define its identity, its imprint. What makes us different. What unites us with the community.
Through a series of exercises, speech becomes sound, sound becomes song. It becomes movement. Communication. Dissonance. Harmony. Protest. Rebellion. Freedom.
Masterclass Objective
The aim of the masterclass is to understand what is innately ours and what has been acquired in our movement, in our expression.
