Introduction
Masterclasses Dedicated to the Performing Arts
The Maria Callas Museum organizes each year a series of masterclasses led by distinguished professionals from key disciplines of the performing arts — artists with established creative and professional achievements — aiming to create a meeting point for artists and provide opportunities for growth, guidance, inspiration, and creativity.
Inspired by the legendary lyric singing masterclasses that Maria Callas delivered at the Juilliard School in New York during 1971–1972 — and by the dedicated thematic room in the Museum’s collection — the Maria Callas Museum masterclasses shed light on the performing arts, particularly opera and theatre, through hands-on examples and applications. Participants will become familiar with the content, functions, and essential tools of each specialty that a professional or graduating student needs in order to work or advance within the performing arts field.
Who It’s For
The masterclasses are addressed to students, graduates, and professionals in the field of the performing arts. Every professional or student, regardless of their specific discipline, may attend any masterclass of their choice.
Each masterclass will be limited to a small group of up to 25 participants.
Duration and Dates — Masterclasses 2025
Each masterclass will run over two days, with a total duration of 8 hours (two 4-hour sessions). The workshops are currently conducted in Greek.
