Both works draw strongly on the national musical heritage of their composers, Czech and Hungarian respectively, integrating folk elements into a refined, highly virtuosic classical form. The dynamic and equal interaction between the piano and the string instruments makes these works among the most captivating in the piano quintet repertoire.

Program:

ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK (1841–1904)
Piano Quintet No. 2 in A major, Op. 81

ERNŐ DOHNÁNYI (1877–1960)
Piano Quintet No. 2 in E-flat minor, Op. 26

Performers:

Margarita Plesti – violin
Polina Koumi – violin
Gerta Sinai – viola
Georgia Kyprou – cello
Dimitra Mantzouratou – piano[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”2/6″][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1771419418365{border-top-width: 0px !important;border-right-width: 0px !important;border-bottom-width: 0px !important;border-left-width: 0px !important;padding-top: 10px !important;padding-right: 10px !important;padding-bottom: 10px !important;padding-left: 10px !important;background-color: #f8f8f8 !important;border-radius: 3px !important;}”]Date: Tuesday, February 10, 2026
Time: 7:00 pm
Ticket price: €10 – includes optional admission to the Museum prior to the concert.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_empty_space height=”2em”][/vc_column][/vc_row]

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] Piano Quintet of the Athens State Orchestra at the Maria Callas Museum [/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”4/6″][vc_column_text]The Maria Callas Museum is delighted to collaborate for the third consecutive year with the Athens State Orchestra, hosting a special concert featuring two piano quintets that transport us […]

[108
